| Warning: Even though
all WildEyes color contact lenses are mailed in a sterile container
and factory sealed, if you do not use good hygiene or use the
recommended solutions as instructed, you may give yourself an
eye infection. Also, only open the contact lens vials after you
have obtained the proper contact lens solutions (see #2 below)
and a lens storage case. Do not share your color contacts with
others or use their color contact lenses. We also recommend the
following:
-
Before handling contact lenses you should always
wash your hands and be sure to clean your contact lenses after
each removal.
-
Clean, rinse, disinfect and soak your contact
lenses with either Alcon's "OPTIFREE Express" solution
or Bausch & Lomb's "RENU" solution, to keep
them clean and sterile when you are not wearing the contact
lenses. These solutions can be bought in any drug store.
-
Put on your contact lenses before applying
make-up and after using hair spray and do not wear contact
lenses while swimming.
-
Do not wear contact lenses if
your eyes hurt, if your eyes get sensitive to light, if your
eyes get red, or if your vision blurs. Seek
professional care immediately if you stop wearing the contact
lenses and your eyes do not improve. You may be getting an
eye infection and need treatment.
-
If one eye starts to bother you more than the
other, place the left lens on the right eye and the right
lens on the left eye, for a few minutes, to determine if your
eye is getting irritated from over-wearing the contact lenses
or your lens is going bad. If, during the switch, the opposite
eye starts to bother you, something is wrong with that lens.
Be sure the contact lens is not inside out, and try cleaning
the contact lens also. If cleaning doesn't help, the contact
lens will probably need to be replaced and returned to the
correct eye, but if the same eye continues to bother you,
give your eyes a rest, you probably are over-wearing the contact
lens.
-
It is not uncommon to notice a slight blur
to your side vision when first wearing color contact lenses.
This is normal and is caused by the colors in the lens. You
will adjust to it quickly if just ignore it.
-
Dry and/or dirty contact lenses from not enough
blinking causes most wearing problems. Clean your contact
lenses each time they are removed from your eyes or once a
week at least and try to blink more. Blink at least once every
5 seconds which is the normal bllink rate. Another common
cause is wearing contact lenses that are worn out or damaged
and should be replaced. Handle the contact lenses with care.
Soft contact lenses are very delicate and tear easily.
